OTTAWA, ON – Kichesippi Beer has announced details of the limited edition seasonal beers that it has lined up for the quickly approaching cooler months.

Returning in late September after taking last year off is Logger Pennsylvania Porter, a 5.2% abv beer named for the logging industry that was historically prevalent in the Ottawa region. The “Pennsylvania Porter” description refers to the fact that it’s brewed with a lager yeast rather than ale yeast, a method that was common in Pennsylvania and other eastern states in the US in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Logger will be available in 473 ml cans and growlers at the Kichesippi retail store.

Following in mid-October will be the brand new Bristol Stout, a 4.8% abv milk stout described as follows:

Our inspiration for this beer comes from our family who have been farming in Bristol, Quebec since 1925. This 150 acre farm has seen a lot of change over the years but still remains in the family. We first started out with dairy cattle and now are farming soybeans and hay. This stout offers a balance of roasted malts and residual sweetness.

Bristol Stout will be released in cans, growlers and kegs.

Wuchak Black will be available at the brewery store in cans, and will also be part of the Winter Beers promotion at select LCBO locations.
