WHISTLER VILLAGE BEER FESTIVAL
Whistler Village – Whistler, BC
Most beer festivals take place for a day or two in a single venue, but the Whistler Village Beer Festival isn’t one of those. Yes, there is a typical tasting festival on Saturday and Sunday in the Whistler Olympic Plaza, but there are also numerous satellite events throughout the Village starting on Wednesday, including tap takeovers, seminars, food pairings and much more. TORONTO BEER WEEK 2015

TORONTO OKTOBERFEST
Ontario Place – Toronto, ON
Toronto’s largest Oktoberfest party will take place in a massive tent in the parking lot at Ontario Place, and will offer a variety of mostly German beers – including ErdingerHacker-Pschorr, Paulaner, Spaten and more – along with traditional Oktoberfest food and entertainment. FRASER VALLEY CORK & KEG FESTIVAL

The fifth annual edition of this fine food & drink festival will feature beer from 15 breweries – most of them BC craft breweries – alongside a great selection of wine, spirits and gourmet food. Advance tickets are available online.

HEAD FOR THE HILLS: GEORGETOWN CRAFT BEER FESTIVAL
Trafalgar Sports Park – Georgetown, ON
This inaugural festival is being presented by four local service clubs – Rotary, Lions, Kiwanis & Kinsmen – with proceeds to benefit Food4Kids North Halton. More than 20 breweries and cideries are lined up to pour their products in support of this great cause. See the website for ticket details.

CRAFT BEER FESTIVAL OF EASTERN ONTARIO
Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario, 90 William St. W. – Smiths Falls, ON
Another festival making its debut this year, this one promises that attendees will have the opportunity to “sip some ale alongside the rails from some of the best craft beer brewers in Eastern Ontario, complemented by some of the best food and music in the area.” Full details and ticket bookings are available on the event website.

“Beer, food, music, and fun” are all on the agenda at this fundraising event in support of  the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. GOLDEN TAP AWARDS 2015

One of the flagship events of Toronto Beer Week, the annual Golden Tap Awards are billed as “Ontario’s most democratic beer awards event,” with winners in various categories selected based on public voting via the Awards website. In addition to the announcement of the winners and handing out of plaques, the evening also offers the opportunity to sample beers from breweries all across the province. Admission is free, with sample tokens available at the venue.
