VICTORIA, BC – Lighthouse Brewing has announced the release of this year’s edition of its annual wet hop ale, one which stands out from other harvest beers by being a dark ale rather than a more typical pale ale or IPA.
Road Trip Fresh-Hopped Dark Ale is part of the brewery’s Uncharted Series of limited edition beers, and is described as follows:
This rare brew brings together roasted malts with the living essence of fresh hops of the Pacific Northwest variety. Picked fresh from the pastoral landscapes of the Chilliwack Hop Farm in British Columbia, these fresh hops made the journey on a float plane to Victoria, B.C. while we prepared the delicious wort here at our brewery. Hours young Chinook and Centennial hops were then placed into the hopback to extract the fresh hop goodness. Road Trip Fresh-Hopped Dark Ale was created for your enjoyment and our fun.
Road Trip is out now in a limited run of 650 ml bottles available at select private liquor stores and craft beer bars in British Columbia, as well as on the growler station at the Lighthouse retail store.
