ST. JOHN’S, NL – Newfoundland’s alternative arts and culture paper The Overcast reports that Quidi Vidi Brewery and Fogtown Barber & Shop have announced the launch of a collaborative beer and fundraising campaign for this year’s edition of Movember.
Fogtown Lager is a 5% abv North American style lager described as follows:
A similar brew to Quidi Vidi Premium, with more complexity to its character to make it stand out. It pours pale gold, and like all of Quidi Vidi’s beers, there are no preservatives or additives. The Crystal hops give it a pop of citrus and floral aromas, which leads to a delicate and fruity taste. The blend of malt and hop characters and exciting finish make it an ideal session beer (that is, highly drinkable).
The beer and associated fundraising campaign will be officially launched with a party at the brewery on Sunday November 1st from 2:00 to 8:00 PM. A Midpoint Music Party will follow on November 14th, with live music from the Cowabungas and George Nervous, and the campaign will wrap up on November 29th with a Grand Finale and moustache judging event. Proceeds from all events will be donated to Movember for prostate cancer research.
In addition to being served at the events above, Fogtown Lager will be available at NLC locations and on tap at select bars and pubs in St. John’s while supplies last.
