VANKLEEK HILL, ONBeau’s All Natural Brewing has announced details of three seasonal beers that will be released in early December, just in time for holiday shopping and enjoyment.

Created especially for the holiday season is New Lang Syne, a 9% abv barrel-aged Tripel intended to take the place of champagne on New Year’s Eve and other seasonal celebrations, and described as follows:

A portion of the 2015 vintage of New Lang Syne was aged in pinot grigio barrels for four months, then was blended back into the rest of the batch for added complexity. First impressions of New Lang Syne are of lemon zest, as well as papaya and tropical fruits. A white wine character harmonizes with firm tannins, and French and German hop varieties provide suitable balance. A bright, sparkling mouthfeel leads into a finish that is distinctively fruity, with subtle peppery notes.

New Lang Syne will be released on December 3rd in a limited run of corked 750 ml bottles, selling for $16 at select LCBO locations and the Beau’s retail store.

Being released on the same day is 80 Shilling, the latest in the Farm Table Series of traditional, session-friendly beers. The 4.7% Scottish-style ale has the following tasting notes:

Pours a deep copper colour. Malt character is predominant, with a few esters, and just enough hops for balance. Toasted flavour, and dry, with mild-to-moderate caramel.

80 Shilling will be available in standard 600 ml Beau’s bottles at select LCBOs and the Beau’s store.

Completing the trio of December 3rd releases is Black Forest I.P.A., the newest Wild Oats Series release from the brewery. A 7% abv black IPA flavoured with cherries, it has the following description:

Black Forest I.P.A. is as scrumptious as cake in a glass, offering up dominant flavours of sweet cherries and earthy cocoa. This strong Black I.P.A. was brewed with German dark malts and an addition of dried sweet cherries. Black Forest I.P.A. is black, unfiltered, and a perfect bittersweet blend as the cherry fruitiness mingles with the hops and roasted malt flavours.

Black Forest I.P.A. will be available exclusively at the brewery store in Ontario. Retail distribution of all three beers in Quebec will follow later in December.
