The latest Brewmaster’s Edition is Dark Cherry Abbey Ale, a 9.5% strong Belgian-style ale with the following notes:
Dark sweet cherries are blended with a strong Belgian ale in this special edition winter offering. Here’s an ale whose aromas will warm you even before the first sip; dark and chocolate malts, Belgian candi sugar, coriander, orange peel… and all those cherries. Our Brewmaster takes one of his favourite beer styles and elevates it to the next level.
The new collaborative beer, Big Brown Kat, is a 5.8% brown ale brewed last month at Alley Kat in Edmonton, and described as follows:
Here’s a Pacific Northwest Brown Ale by two of Alberta’s original craft breweries. Three specialty malts and premium Alberta barley serve up the delicious caramel sweetness, that’s balanced by the spicy pine characters of the single hopped Chinooks. Collabrewation never tasted so good.
Both beers are available now at the Big Rock retail shop and select liquor stores in Alberta. Dark Cherry Abbey Ale is also available in British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
