CAMPBELLFORD, ON – Church-Key Brewing and Empire Cider have announced the upcoming release of a collaborative beer-cider hybrid.
As reported by Inside Belleville, Holy Crow Bruised Apple Cider Ale was made by blending a wort made from the recipe for Church-Key’s Holy Smoke smoked ale and the juice of five different types of apples selected by Empire Cider. The resulting liquid went through the boil and fermentation steps to create the final product, which Church-Key’s John Graham says “very much tastes like a bruised apple, which is quite neat”.
Holy Crow will be available soon at the Church-Key retail store in 650 ml bottles, and on draught at select bars and restaurants in Ontario.
