FERNIE, BCFernie Brewing has announced the release of a new seasonal brand, and has confirmed the details for two new beers that are being added to its rotating series of IPAs.

Java The Hut Coffee Milk Stout is a 5% abv and 40 IBU stout with the following description:

With a unique and rich infusion of coffee, it’s a truly satisfying brew, perfect for any occasion. The popular and local Crowsnest Coffee Roasters supply the perfect blend of coffee beans. “They are added to the mash, along with a decadent amount of chocolate, Black Prinz and Roasted Malts. Add some milk sugar, and you get a stout with amazing flavours and dreamy smoothness,” says FBC’s Brewmaster, Gord Demaniuk. Dressed in our distinctive design, with the locally recognisable illustration of Thunder Meadows Cabin, one of Fernie’s most popular backcountry ski huts.

Java The Hut debuted just before Christmas in Fernie, and went into wider distribution this week in a limited run of 650 ml bottles at select stores in British Columbia and Alberta.
