TORONTO, ON – Ontario Beverage Network reports that Canada’s first brewery dedicated to “partner brewing” will be opening soon in Toronto.

Brunswick Bierworks is being founded by Chris Goddard and Mike Laba – partners in beer import agency The Craft Brand Company – and will exclusively brew brands under contract for local and international brewery partners. The facility will feature a 50 hectolite brewhouse and 20 hectolitre pilot system overseen by senior brewing advisor Christian Riemerschmid von der Heide – COO of Newlands Systems, the company that manufactured the systems – as well as a retail shop and taproom.

In a Brewers Journal article, Laba is quoted as saying that Brunswick Bierworks “provides our brewery partners an ability to access to National and International markets with fresh product brewed to their exact specifications under the supervision of their own Brewmaster. Our facility provides a variety of packaging options as well as the ability to distribute directly from our brewery. Our model allows brewers to expand their distribution without the capital costs of building a new brewery and without the incremental costs of import freight.”

Brunswick Bierworks is expected to open this spring at 25 Curity Avenue in Toronto’s East York neighbourhood.
