TORONTO, ON – The Government of Ontario released its annual budget for 2016 yesterday, and it included the announcement that funding for the Ontario Microbrewery Strategy has been extended for a total of $1.4 millon over the next two years.

In a statement released by the Ontario Craft Brewers (OCB) following the budget announcement, Darren Smith – president of Lake of Bays Brewing and vice-chair of OCB – said that the group is “very happy to receive this funding. We will use it to assist us with the rollout to grocery stores, which we are very excited about, and to support our continued efforts to have a brewery in every city and town in the province.”
