Dageraad Brewing Announces Pair of Returning Beers

BURNABY, BC – Belgian-inspired brewery Dageraad Brewing has announced the return of an abbey-style ale with an Asian flair, as well as the upcoming release of the latest vintage of one of its strongest and most complex beers.

Out now is Sri Lanka, a 7.5% abv ale described as follows:

This Belgian-style Dubbel is brewed with treacle (a syrup made from the sap of the kithul tree), and tamarind fruit. The Kithul treacle gives the beer a slight bit of sweetness that is then quickly tempered by the tart plummy flavour of tamarind. As with all of our beers Sri Lanka was re-fermented in the bottle (for three weeks) to develop the natural carbonation and add an extra layer of complexity to the beer.

Coming later this month is the new edition of 10 Degrees, a 10.5% abv ale with the following notes:

After laying this beast to rest in a fermentor for nearly 100 days, we bottled it and patiently await the magic of re-fermentation to run its course and awaken a beer that has transformed into quite the beauty. Dark, rich, and complex, our house yeast was accompanied by several other strains to create a great balance between strong and smooth in this year’s 10 Degrees. However, at 10.5% ABV and with all the bold flavours it posses, this Belgian-style Quadrupel will continue to develop for up to three years in the bottle if properly stored.

Both beers will be available at the Dageraad retail store and select private liquor stores in BC while supplies last.
