Saskatchewan Microbreweries & Brewpubs Form Saskatchewan Craft Brewers Association

SASKATOON, SK – Prairie beer blog On Beer reports that several small breweries and brewpubs in Saskatchewan have come together to form a group dedicated to promoting and lobbying for the province’s burgeoning craft brewing industry.

The Saskatchewan Craft Brewers Association held its first meeting last month in Saskatoon, and according to a Facebook post from Bushwakker Brewing, representatives from Bushwakker, Prairie Sun Brewery, Paddock Wood Brewing, District Brewing, Rebellion Brewing, Black Bridge Brewery, Nokomis Craft Ales and 9 Mile Legacy Brewing were all in attendance.

Membership in the group is open to any Saskatchewan brewery with annual production below 20,000 hectolitres, a limit that excludes Great Western Brewing but allows all other breweries or brewpubs currently in operation to join.

The SCBA has yet to establish a website or social media presence, but is likely to be online soon.
