BRACEBRIDGE, ON – Muskoka Brewery has released details of the first beer in the Collaboration Series announced earlier this month that will mark the brewery’s 20th anniversary.
The first beer in the series is a collaboration with BarrelHouse Brewing of Paso Robles, California. As explained in a post on the Muskoka Brewery blog, the breweries first made contact a few years ago when BarrelHouse bought Muskoka’s old brewing system, and in honour of that connection, the clementine cranberry IPA that the two brew teams crafted at Muskoka earlier this year – with beer writer Stephen Beaumont on hand to observe – has been named Your Brew House or Mine.
The Muskoka/BarrelHouse beer will be released May 11th, and will be available exclusively on draught at the Muskoka tap room and select bars and pubs in Ontario.
Collaborations with Le Trou du Diable (Quebec), Ellicottville Brewing (New York) and Howe Sound Brewing (B.C.) will follow in coming months, and will also be draught-only releases.
(NOTE: An earlier version of this article indicated that the beer would be released on May 5th, and would be available in bottles at the Muskoka retail store. These details were changed based on a later update from the brewery.)
