TORONTO, ONOntario Beverage Network reports a contract brewery that has been on hiatus for a year or so will be returning this summer with its own brewing facility, located in the same building as another of the city’s young breweries.

Shacklands Brewing was launched in 2012 by homebrewer Jason Tremblay, who brewed his beers at several locations including Junction Craft Brewing and Innocente Brewing while looking for a physical location.

That spot has now been found 100 Symes Road, an industrial building in the Stockyards District that is also home to Rainhard Brewing.

Shacklands is aiming for an August opening, and will be focused on brewing “Belgian Ales, Saisons, Farmhouse Ales, funks and sours.”
