HAVELOCK, ON – Ontario Beverage Network reports that a new nanobrewery has opened in the small community of Havelock, approximately 50 km east of Peterborough in Eastern Ontario.
Belmont Lake Brewery has been opened by British ex-pats Julie and Norrie Bearcroft, and is located near the shore of its namesake lake, with access by road as well as a boat dock adjacent to the brewery.
The brewery opened on June 11th with three beers – Cordova Gold Best Bitter, Brown Bear Dark Ale, and Crowe River Pale Ale – available by the glass and in growlers.
Due to depleted stocks, the brewery is closed this week and next, but will reopen on the Canada Day long weekend. For more details, see the Belmont Lake Brewery Facebook page.
