CALGARY, AB – Village Brewery has announced details of its fourth annual charity event to raise funds for the Calgary Prostate Cancer Centre, where beer with a special “ballsy” ingredient will be taking centre stage.
Taking place this Thursday July 7th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Bottlescrew Bill’s (140 10th Avenue SW, Calgary), the Village NUTRaiser will feature three flavoured cask ales – Village Blacksmith Porter with salty chocolate, Village Blonde Ale with banana, and a Black & Tan blend of Blonde and Blacksmith with peanut – with each cask also containing two cooked bull testicles.
The latter two beers were designed by celebrity guests – wrestler Bret Hart and Dragons’ Den panellist Brett Wilson – who will be in attendance at the event.
The casks will be tapped at 6:30 PM, and those who make a donation of $100 or more to the cause will receive a pint of one of the beers. Donations can be made online in advance, or in person at the event.
