SQUAMISH, BC – Howe Sound Brewing has announced the release of the latest in the Sea to Sky Series of limited edition seasonal beers.
S2S Kölsch is a 4.5% abv and 15 IBU lagered ale with the following notes:
This light bodied German-style lagered ale is brewed with traditional German Pilsner malt, and fermented with a traditional Kolsch yeast strain. Since it is a lagered ale, the yeast strain is a German ale yeast, fermented at a lower temperature then conditioned for 9 weeks, allowing greater character from the ale yeast, compared to brewing with lager yeast. This beer has subtle citrus notes that come from a combination of the hops used, as well as the yeast strain. It is crisp and refreshing, extremely versatile and a wonderful summer thirst quencher.
S2S Kölsch is available now in 650 ml bomber bottles at select liquor stores in British Columbia.
