VICTORIA, BC – Driftwood Brewery has announced the release of the latest beer in its occasionally occurring Bird of Prey series of wild and sour ales.
Latus Sour Ale is a revised version of the beer that launched the series in 2011, and is described as follows:
This very unique sour has been conditioned in a mix of American and French oak wine barrels for a year, creating a dry, sour and funky profile that will continue to evolve for a very long time. This 2016 version showcases the maturing character of the barrels and the tart, fruity depth of a Flanders Red.
Latus was released in mid-July in a limited run of 650 ml bottles and is selling quickly, but is still available at select private liquor stores in Victoria and Vancouver while supplies last.
