FERNIE, BCFernie Brewing has announced details of its seasonal releases for fall, including several returning favourites and the brewery’s first ever fresh hopped ale.

Sap Sucker Maple Porter, described as a “deliciously dark & robust Porter, with a delicate but flavourful touch of maple syrup,” and Pumpkin Head Brown Ale, a spiced ale that “stems from their infamous First Trax Brown Ale, but is instead brewed with organic pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and numerous spices,” are back for another year.

Both are available now in the Fernie area, with distribution expanding elsewhere in Alberta and BC throughout September. Sap Sucker will remain available until March, while Pumpkin Head will stick around until November when it’s replaced in the line-up by Black Mammoth Winter Ale.

Joining these popular seasonals will be Fernie Fresh Hopped Pale Ale, a beer brewed just yesterday using fresh Cascade and Nugget hops from Red Tractor Farms near Kimberley, BC. The very limited beer is expected to be released in late September, and will be available on draught in Alberta and BC while supplies last.
