CALGARY, AB – In an interesting coincidence, two separate but complementary guides to the craft beer scene in Alberta have launched this week, just in time for the 2nd annual Alberta Beer Week later this month.

In paper format, the first issue of the Alberta Craft Beer Guide is now available at breweries, liquor stores, bars and beer events in Alberta.

Published and edited by Andrew Ironmonger and Erica Francis, the quarterly publication features a map and directory of all craft breweries in the province, as well as articles and features on upcoming breweries and other aspects of local beer culture. For more information, see the @AbBeerGuide Twitter feed.

For those who prefer an online experience, the publishers of Alberta-based beer news website The Daily Beer have launched Alberta Breweries, a spin-off site that is “dedicated to locating, rating and reviewing our province’s beer producers.”

All current and soon-to-open breweries in the province have listings on the site, with the breweries invited to provide additional details for the listings, and site visitors encouraged to rate and review the breweries and their beers. More details are available on the Daily Beer news post announcing the site launch.
