The Collingwood Brewery Announces 2016 Edition of Vintage Ale

COLLINGWOOD, ONThe Collingwood Brewery has announced the release of the 2016 edition of Vintage Ale, a strong harvest ale made with locally sourced hops and honey.

The 6.9% abv golden ale is described as follows:

After adding 60kg of Beaver Valley Gold honey per brew, Head Brewer, Chris Freeman, added a generous amount of locally grown, fresh Cascade and Chinook hops after fermentation.  The hops were as fresh as they get, collected the same day they were harvested at BigHead Hops in Meaford.  Wandering around this organic hop farm gave us an even bigger appreciation for this finished product: to see where the hops come from, the time and care it takes to get them from seedling to established hop is a remarkable endeavour.  It makes you want to drink more local beer and appreciate our area for what it offers.

The Collingwood Brewery Vintage Ale 2016 will debut tomorrow (September 17th) during an open house event at the brewery, and will be available in 473 ml cans at the brewery retail store, with LCBO distribution to follow in a couple of weeks.
