ST. THOMAS, ON – Railway City Brewing has announced that this year’s edition of its annual harvest ale will be released later this week.
The 2016 vintage of Railway City Hoptoberfest is a Vienna Lager made with 35 lbs of fresh Cascade hops from two local farms. It has the following tasting notes:
Hoptoberfest enters the glass in an autumn orange hue. Caramelized sugar aromas from malts and a hint of cinnamon spice from freshly-picked hops fill the nose. This medium-bodied brew has a crisp and light hop spice, sweet malt profile, and softly lingering hop flavour on the tongue, making it a perfectly balanced beer for fall.
Hoptoberfest 2016 will be officially released on Thursday October 6th with a launch party at the brewery starting at 7:00 PM. It will be available in 650 ml bottles at the Railway City retail store and on tap at select local licensees while supplies last.
