TORONTO, ONLeft Field Brewery has announced the release of a new limited edition beer inspired by one of the world’s most unique and longest running baseball traditions.

Midnight Sun Game Dark Session IPA is named after a baseball game that has been played annually since 1906 in Fairbanks, Alaska on the Summer Solstice, when the area has 24 hours of sunlight. Taking place between sunset and sunrise, the game is technically a night game but is played without artificial lighting due to the “midnight sun” phenomena.

The 4.2% abv and 33 IBU dark ale is described as follows:

Made with a substantial amount of wheat, Midnight Sun Game is dark and hazy and is loaded with grassy and floral hop aromatics. With a lighter body and low ABV, this session ale is the perfect choice to enjoy through the late innings of any game.

Midnight Sun Game is available now on draught and in bottles at the Left Field taproom and retail store.
