VANCOUVER, BCWhat’s Brewing and The Georgia Straight both report that the latest entrant in the booming East Vancouver brewery district – aka “Yeast Van” – is now open to the public.

Luppolo Brewing opened this past weekend at 1123 Venables St., a short walk from several established breweries including Bomber, Off the Rail, and Strange Fellows.

Founded by two husband-and-wife teams – Ryan Parfitt and Eleanor Stewart, and Federico Stucchi and Anique Ross – Luppolo (Italian for “hops”) had a soft opening on October 28th, followed by a full launch on the 29th. Seven beers are currently on tap – Fresh Hop Belgian IPA, Mild, Dunkelweizen, IPA, Saison, New World Sour and West Coast Farmhouse Ale – and available for samples, flights, glasses, and growler fills.

Luppolo is currently a beer-only operation, but a food menu will soon be added, offering snacks and tasting plates with an Italian bent, including cured meats, cheeses and fermented vegetables.

Luppolo Brewing is open from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM daily. For more details, see the brewery website and Facebook page.
