BURNABY, BC – Steamworks Brewery has announced details of the first beer to be released from its new barrel aging program.
Kicking off the Steamworks Barrel Aged Series is a 2016 vintage of Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout, which is described as follows:
It pours near black with a thick tan head. Aromas of vanilla and oak give way to robust flavours of bourbon and chocolate. The beer is a very special release, perfect for rainy days or for cellaring away for further maturing.
The first bottles of Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout will be released tomorrow (Friday November 25th) at the Steamworks Brewery taproom, where it will also be available on draught for a limited time. Distribution to select liquor stores in British Columbia will follow in the first week of December.
