SMITH’S COVE, NS – Lazy Bear Brewing has announced the release of a new seasonal beer inspired by the historic brewing culture of Scandinavia.
The Norwegian is a 7% abv and 17 IBU farmhouse ale described as follows:
Some dried flakes of kveik yeast in a take away container arrived this summer with some friends from Norway. This yeast is the starting point for a traditional Norwegian farmhouse ale; the next essential ingredient is juniper sprigs which we recovered much closer to home. We propagated the yeast and brewed a beer full of Norwegian goodness!
The Norwegian is available now at the brewery, and on Saturday at the Annapolis Royal Farmers and Traders Market.
