KITCHENER, ON – Homebrew supplier Short Finger Brewing has announced details of an upcoming homebrewing competition that it is presenting in partnership with Great Lakes Brewing.

The Hop Shop IPA Challenge will focus on India Pale Ale and its off-shoot styles, and is described as follows:

This one is not our usual competition. No BJCP sanctioning, no wide range of styles, and a changeup in prizing to include things like Juiciest, Dankest, and Best Named IPAs in addition to the usual category winners. What’s similar? You’ll still be getting feedback on your brews from a panel of rockin’ judges, and our Best Of Show winner will still receive a sweet brewing opportunity.

Entries for the contest are due by March 4th, with judging taking place at Great Lakes on March 12th, and an awards ceremony to follow on April 2nd at a location TBC in Kitchener-Waterloo.

For more details including rules and entry information, see the full announcement on the Short Finger website.
