ELLERSLIE, PE – More than a year after it was first announced, PEI’s fourth brewery – and the first on the western end of the island – is now open for business.

Moth Lane Brewing has been founded by former lobster fisherman Eric Wagner, and is located in the small community of Ellerslie, approximately 30 minutes northwest of Summerside.

Situated at 101 Mickie Allen Shore Road near the North Shore in a building that once housed a shellfish business run by Wagner, the Moth Lane facility features a 7 barrel brewhouse, a 50 seat tasting room, and a deck with a view of the Conway Narrows that will be open in the warmer months.

Moth Lane opened to the public for the first time today (December 24th), with three brands available by the glass or growler: Motorboat’r Blonde Ale (“refreshing, easy drinking”), The Answer Imperial IPA (“piney, hoppy bitterness”), and Oyster Thief Stout (“creamy, chocolate & coffee notes”).

Moth Lane will be open until 7:00 PM today. Future business hours are yet to be announced, but are expected to be posted to the brewery’s Facebook page when confirmed.
