Liberty Commons at Big Rock Brewery Now Open in Toronto’s Liberty Village

TORONTO, ONBig Rock Brewery and restaurant partner Oliver & Bonacini have announced that their collaborative brewpub in Toronto’s Liberty Village neighbourhood is now open for business.

Described as a “modern-day brewpub [that] celebrates quality food and craft beer in a vibrant heritage space,” Liberty Commons at Big Rock Brewery is located at 42 Liberty St. (corner of Liberty and Atlantic), and follows the late 2016 opening of the adjacent Big Rock retail store and tasting lounge.

The bar at Liberty Commons features eight taps pouring a variety of Big Rock beers including core brands, seasonals, and exclusive beers brewed by on-site brewer Dan Ellis and Connor K. Patrick from Big Rock’s main Ontario brewery in Etobicoke. Cocktails, wines and spirits are also available.

The drinks are complemented by a food program overseen by O&B executive chefs Anthony Walsh & John Horne, and chef de cuisine Ryan Lister who has moved over from the kitchen at O&B’s Canoe. Lunch, dinner, late night & brunch menus will be offered, with a focus on pub favourites such as fish & chips and cottage pie, plus an extensive selection of house-smoked BBQ items.

Liberty Commons at Big Rock Brewery is open at 11:00 AM on weekdays (closing 1:00 AM Monday to Wednesday, 2:00 AM on Thursday and Friday), and 10:00 AM on weekends (closing 2:00 AM on Satruday and 1:00 AM on Sunday). For more details and to make reservations, see the Liberty Commons website.
