Lake of Bays Releases Golden Chai Ale & The Big Prickle Kettle Sour

BAYSVILLE, ON – Lake of Bays Brewing has announced the release of the latest in its Wild North series of rotating seasonals, as well as a new limited edition one-off beer.
Golden Chai Ale is the newest Wild North beer, a 5.2% abv spiced ale described as follows:
Fresh, spicy aromatics introduce this effervescent brew. Chai tea offers a hint of cardamom, cinnamon and clove. Magnum hops and a splash of pure orange zest round out the finish.
Golden Chai is officially released today, and will be available in 473 ml cans at the LCBO and select grocery retailers in Ontario.
The Big Prickle Kettle Sour is an experiment from brewer Mark Campbell with the following notes:
Yeast and Lactobacillus bacteria do the funky tank tango, creating this enjoyable tart ‘n’ fruity sour. This brew is light-bodied and glows an effervescent gold. Citrus aroma on the nose hints at the overall tart & juicy grapefruit flavour. Clear Valley Chinook hops for tasty grapefruit flavour complete our sour’s prickly perfect pucker.
The Big Prickle is available in a limited run of 180 bottles at the Lake of Bays retail store, and on tap at a small number of beer bars in Ontario while supplies last.
