Rust City Brewery Opens Pub & Coffee House in Hamilton

HAMILTON, ON – After several weeks of operating in soft launch mode, Rust City Brewery has announced the official opening of its craft beer pub and coffee house in downtown Hamilton – although it will be at least a few months before on-site brewed beer is available.

As explained in the grand opening announcement:

The current zoning in downtown Hamilton does not allow microbreweries, and although changes to allow brewing are coming it won’t be until June that these changes will be presented to City Council for approval. This situation has forced us to delay the introduction of our on-site brewing until the near future but rest assured we are working on it. In the meantime come hangout and enjoy the coffee, food and awesome beer from our favourite breweries. You can help us out too by writing to your local councillor and telling them you support the addition of microbreweries to the downtown zoning plan!

In the meantime, Rust City is offering a selection of beer from other local breweries, freshly roasted organic fair trade coffee, and a food menu focused on locally sourced and organic ingredients with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options.
