Brazen Hall Kitchen & Brewery Now Open in Winnipeg

WINNIPEG, MB – A long-planned brewery and gastropub in Winnipeg’s Fort Rouge district has announced that it is now open to the public.

Brazen Hall Kitchen & Brewery has been in the works since 2015, when Kristjan Kristjansson closed the Round Table Steakhouse & Pub – a restaurant that his father had opened in 1973 – and started renovations on the building to split the space between a new 5500-square-foot restaurant and a 10-hectolitre brewhouse.

Jeremy Wells (ex-Half Pints) is on staff as head brewer, and is currently offering two beers that were brewed as collaborations at Torque BrewingBlonde Ale (5% abv, 20 IBU) and Bière de Garde (6% abv, 20 IBU) – with his in-house beers set to join them on tap soon. In meantime, the remaining taps are pouring beers from other local craft breweries.

On the kitchen side, chef Derek Pauls oversees a diverse menu of snacks, salads, soups, sandwiches, burgers, noodle bowls, and main courses, with beer and spent grain from the brewery being used in several dishes.

Brazen Hall is located at 800 Pembina Highway in Winnipeg, and is officially open for business as of today (March 20th) at 11:30 AM. For more details, see the Brazen Hall website, as well as a recent profile feature at On Beer.
