TORONTO, ON – This past Tuesday evening, the Honourable Dave Levac, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, hosted Members of Provincial Parliament (MPPs), staff and selected guests at the 13th annual Ontario Craft Brewers tasting event at Queen’s Park in Toronto.
32 OCB member breweries were on hand to pour more than 100 different beers for attendees who cast ballots to choose their favourites. The winning beers will be available in the dining room and at catered events & receptions at Queen’s Park for the 2017-18 year.
The categories and winning beers for this year were:
Speaker’s Choice: Black Oak Pale Ale
Ale: Old Credit Amber Ale
Lager: Beau’s Lug Tread
Stout: Grand River Russian Gun Imperial Stout
Pilsner: Steam Whistle Pilsner
Porter: Bobcaygeon Porter After Nine
Specialty: 5 Paddles Skullpucker Dry Hopped Sour Ale
