Beau’s Continues Ottawa 2017 Series With Crannóg Ales Collaboration Blackstrap Bootstrapper

VANKLEEK HILL, ON – Beau’s All Natural Brewing has announced details of the fourth in its monthly series of collaborative beers being released as part of the brewery’s partnership with Ottawa 2017.

Blackstrap Bootstrapper is a 5.8% abv molasses porter created in collaboration with Crannóg Ales, the pioneering organic brewery in Sorrento, BC opened by Brian MacIsaac and Rebecca Kneen in 2000.

Brewed using fair trade organic blackstrap molasses and Challenger hops from Crannóg’s Left Fields Farm, the beer is described as follows:

The porter pours nearly opaque brown-black with ruby undertones, and a thick tan foam. Aromas of mocha, molasses and plum are evident. The flavours are a balanced combination of roasted malts and dried fruit. The finish is dry and gently warm.

For all beers in the Ottawa 2017 series, a portion of sales will be donated to a charity in the area of the guest brewery. For Blackstrap Bootstrapper, proceeds will go to Mining Watch Canada.

Blackstrap Bootstrapper will be officially released on Thursday April 6th, and will be available in 600 ml bottles at the Beau’s brewery store and retail locations in Quebec. A limited number of cases will also be shipped to British Columbia for sale at select private liquor retailers.
