BAYFIELD, ON – The Clinton News Record reports that a new farm-based brewery is preparing to launch soon on the outskirts of Bayfield in Ontario’s Huron County.
River Road Brewing & Hops is being established by Dave and Nikki Andrew, a couple of who have been homebrewing for more than a decade. And as the company name suggests, they are growing their own hops, as well as feeding spent grain from brewing to the highland cows that are raised on the farm.
Once the required licencing is in place, River Road will be offering a variety of brands – including Up Your Kilt Wee Heavy, Dashboard Lite Pilsner, Porter? Porter, and Westside West Coast Pale Ale – on draught at local bars and restaurants. Future plans include a retail store, tastings and tours.
