Ontario Craft Brewers Announces Winners of Women in Craft Brewing Scholarship

TORONTO, ON – The Ontario Craft Brewers has announced the successful applicants for the inaugural edition of its beer education scholarship program for women working in the province’s craft brewing industry.

The Women in Craft Brewing Scholarship will cover the costs of first level Cicerone Training, including “course registration fees for the interactive e-Learning program, BeerSavvy®, as well as Road to Cicerone course book (Brewing Ingredients & Process) and a full set of Beer Style Flashcards.”

The six winners as selected by lottery from qualified applicants from 25 different OCB member breweries include:

Kim Cranfield, Marketing Director, Publican House Brewery
Karyn Boscariol, Event Coordinator, Wellington Brewery
Alyssa Kwasny, Brewer, Beau’s All Natural Brewing
Emily Subic, Production Operator, Side Launch Brewing
