BURNABY, BC – Dageraad Brewing has announced the release of the third in its Entropy Series of limited edition barrel-aged beers.
Entropy Series No. 3 is Belgian-style strong golden ale aged in pear brandy barrels – a description that might sound familiar to some, and for good reason, as the brewery explains:
A couple of years ago, our friends at Deep Cove Brewers and Distillers gave us a pear brandy barrel, which we made Entropy 1 with. It was a big hit and we even won an award for it before its release, but we figured it would be a one-off because of the barrel. However, shortly after its release, we learned that Brassneck and Moody Ales received the same barrels but never had a chance to put them to use. Well, our friends were nice enough to let us have the barrels so we can fill it up with Dageraad Blonde, and recreate our award-winning release! That’s right, Entropy 3 is a clone of Entropy 1 and we’re thrilled we got to recreate it to our liking.
Entropy Series No. 3 was released yesterday (July 6th) exclusively at the Dageraad tasting room and retail store in a limited run of 750 ml bottles, with a sales limit of 4 bottles per customer while supplies last.
