ST. THOMAS, ON – Railway City Brewing has announced the winners of Platform 17, the brewery’s 6th annual homebrewing competition.
Beers submitted by homebrewers across Ontario were judged by panel of professional brewers and BJCP-qualified judges, and the entries selected as Top 3 in the competition were the following:
1st Place: Russian Imperial Stout, brewed by Dennis Kwasnycia of London
2nd Place: Specialty IPA, brewed by Dennis Kwasnycia of London
3rd Place: Spiced Beer, brewed by Bobby Jacques of Windsor
All three winning entries will receive cash prizes, and Dennis Kwasnycia will brew a full 20 hl batch of his Russian Imperial Stout in collaboration with Railway City’s brewing team, with the result to be released commercially this fall.
