Five Breweries in Calgary Banding Together as The Barley Belt

CALGARY, AB – Five breweries located in south east Calgary have announced the formation of a new promotional initiative called the Barley Belt.

Formed by Banded Peak Brewing, Annex Ale Project, Cold Garden Beverage Company, High Line Brewing, and Village Brewery, the collective has come together to “get people exploring the industrial areas of Manchester, Highfield, and Inglewood and the budding brewery sector that has developed.”

The venture will be officially launched on Sunday August 27th, 2017 with the Barley Belt Tap Tour. Running from 12:00 noon to 6:00 PM, the 18+ event will be “a day of exploration, community gathering, and good times as patrons walk, bike or bus between each brewery along the belt.”

A passport that will entitle the holder to a beer at each location can be purchased now at the participating breweries for $25, with $5 to be donated to the United Way. Additional beers will be available for $6 each, with $1 going to the United Way. Live entertainment, games, food trucks and more will also be featured at each stop.
