Partake Brewing Launching Alcohol-Free Craft Beer This Autumn

TORONTO, ONCBC News reports that a company focused on producing alcohol-free craft beer is getting set to release its first brand into the market this autumn.

Partake Brewing has been founded by Ted Fleming, owner of the online non-alcoholic beer retailer Premium Near Beer. Fleming gave up drinking alcohol five years ago when he was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, and has been an advocate for good quality alcohol-free beer since 2013 through his online shop. He now hopes to offer an even better product via his own brewing company.

A Kickstarter campaign held earlier this year to fund the development and launch of Partake raised 280% of its target amount, and the first batch of Partake Non-Alcoholic IPA was brewed earlier this summer under contract. Made with Cascade, Amarillo and Citra hops and six malt varieties, it has already won its first award, taking a Bronze in the Non-Alcoholic category at the U.S. Open Beer Championship 2017.

According to the CBC report, Partake Non-Alcoholic IPA is expected to be launched in September, and will be available at grocery stores throughout Ontario, as well as online via Premium Near Beer. Fleming has also filmed a pitch on Dragon’s Den to get investment to expand nationwide, although the result won’t be revealed until the episode airs in the upcoming season.
