VICTORIA, BC – Spinnakers Brewpub has announced the release of a new vintage of a unique collaboration with a local winery.
Originally released in 2014, Ortega Blonde is a ale/wine hybrid brewed using wine from Muse Winery, which closed last year due the retirement of its owners.
The 2017 edition of the beer is described as follows:
Building on our 2014 Ortega Blonde, and taking the final vintages from Muse Winery, home of the oldest wines on Vancouver Island, this Ortega/Bacchus blend was introduced to a light bodied Canadian Pilsen based ale resulting in a delicate, complex, effervescent ale, a beer spritzer with citrus notes, and a dry white wine finish.
Ortega Blonde is available now in 650 ml bottles at the Spinnakers retail store and select private liquor stores in BC.
