Mariner Brewing Now Open in Coquitlam

COQUITLAM, BC – The first brewery to open in Coquitlam, British Columbia for more than 15 years has announced its soft launch.

Mariner Brewing has been established by Byron Vallis, Lauren Ang, and Wim Vander Zalm, with brewing being overseen by head brewer Kevin Wilson. Aside from the short-lived Coquitlam Brewing brewpub that operated from 1999 to 2001, Mariner is Coquitlam’s first modern craft brewery.

Located at H-1100 Lansdowne Drive, the Mariner taproom and retail store opened this past weekend, several days ahead of its official opening on August 30th. Beers currently available by the glass and growler include Northeast IPA (7.5% abv, 67 IBU), Amber Ale (5.1% abv, 30 IBU), Cream Ale (4.8% abv, 12 IBU), and Sour Weisse (4.5% abv, 5 IBU). Cans will follow in September and October.
