GTA Brews Announces Brew Slam 2017 Homebrewing Competition

TORONTO, ON – Toronto-area homebrewing club GTA Brews has announced details of its third annual competition for amateur brewers.

Brew Slam 2017 is open to homebrewers from across the country, with entries to be evaluated by a panel of judges based on BJCP style guidelines. Thousands of dollars worth of prizes will be up for grabs, and the awards will also be counted towards the national Brewer of the Year standings.

Brewers are welcome to enter up to 15 beers, ciders, and/or meads into the competition, with no more than one in each classic style subcategory, and two per specialty category. A fee of $8 will apply for each entry.

Registration can be made online between September 26th and November 4th, and all liquids must be dropped off or delivered by the latter date.

Judging will take place November 10th to 12th at Amsterdam Brewery in Toronto, and winners will be announced during an awards ceremony on November 18th at Henderson Brewing.
