HALIFAX, NS – Garrison Brewing has announced the details of its fourth annual Star Trek themed beer to be released in conjunction with the Hal-Con sci-fi, fantasy & gaming convention, taking place this weekend (September 22nd to 24th) in Halifax.
As reported by Atlantic Canada Beer Blog, Borg Black Ale (5.6% abv, 25 IBU) is “the most advanced black ale in the entire Delta Quadrant,” and was brewed with a grist of Munich, Dark Munich, Pale Ale and Black Malts and hopped solely with German Hallertauer Tradition hops.
Brewed under license from the Federation of Beer, Borg Black Ale will be pouring at Hal-Con in advance of its full release next week in bottles at the brewery and private liquor stores.
