Winterlong Brewing Releasing Firebean Rye Coffee Porter

WHITEHORSE, YK – Quickly following on the release of a new barley wine last weekend, Winterlong Brewing has announced details of  another new seasonal beer.

Firebean Rye Coffee Porter (6.8% abv) was brewed using coffee from Firebean Coffee Roasters, a micro-roastery that recently opened in Whitehorse. The beer is described as follows:

It’s a smooth and chocolatey porter with a hint of roast and a light fruity and spiciness from the malted barley and rye. The dark roasted Guatemalan (fair trade organic) coffee beans lend some of the complex chocolate, roast and fruit flavours in the beer.

Firebean Rye Coffee Porter will be pouring today and tomorrow at the Yukon Beer Festival, and will go on sale tomorrow in bottles and on draft in the Winterlong taproom and retail store. For more details, see the full release announcement.
