Coalesce Brewing Releases Cherry & Apricot Variants of Foreword

PORT MOODY, BC – Coalesce Brewing – the independent brewing project set up by Ryan Voigt of Twin Sails Brewing to brew mixed fermentation and wood aged beers – has released two special editions of its first beer.

Cherry Foreword and Apricot Foreword (both 6.2% abv, 21 IBU) are variants of Foreword, a mixed fermentation barrel aged saison that was released last month.

The original Foreword was refermented for 3 months in locally sourced Chardonnay barrels, at which point much of the beer was bottled, but two barrels were set aside for further aging on fruit. Cherry Foreword spent an additional 6 weeks in the barrel sitting on organic Danube cherries from Harvey’s Orchards in Cawston, BC, while Apricot Foreword was aged 8 extra weeks with organic apricots from Sapo Bravo Organics in the Fraser Valley.

Both beers were released yesterday (November 12th) at the Twin Sails retail store, each limited to 25 cases of 500 ml bottles. Assuming they haven’t sold out, there are available for $12 per bottle while a limit of 3 per customer while supplies last.
