FREDERICTON, NB – Picaroons Traditional Ales has announced the release of the latest edition of Pivot, a series of “interactive Imperial IPAs where we are pivoting the hops around the same grain bill every batch.”
Picaroons Pivot #9 (8% abv) is described as follows:
We’ve been able to play with a brand new (to us) hop in this batch – ZYTHOS! No, not a Greek god, rather another hop thrown into that ol’ “tropical” category and it certainly is that – and then some. We’ve then paired it up with a some home-grown Moose Mountain Hops and the result is a very drinkable IPA with lots of the expected pineapple notes along with a good helping of piney-ness. There’s also some nice subtle grassy and earthy undertones, along with an assertive bitterness, that’s tying nicely into the malt character and keeping this batch grounded and drinkable.
Pivot #9 is available now at all Picaroons retail and taproom locations in New Brunswick, and select ANBL stores throughout the province.
