Bushwakker Releasing 2017 Vintage of Blackberry Mead This Weekend

REGINA, SK – Bushwakker Brewpub has announced that this year’s vintage of the extremely popular  Bushwakker Blackberry Mead (10% abv) – created using 400 pounds of Lumsden Valley honey and 84 pounds of blackberries per batch – will be going on sale Saturday December 2nd at 11:00 AM. Although as always, those hoping to get a bottle may want to show up a fair bit earlier than that to avoid being disappointed.

According to the event announcement, last year’s release had a line-up that started at 3:45 PM on Friday afternoon, with people braving the cold weather overnight to get their bottles: “Some brought lawn chairs, some brought patio heaters, some brought sleeping bags, some brought heated ice fishing huts, some even brought BBQs and made bacon and eggs!”

As in past years, there will be limited edition Blackberry Mead t-shirts designed by local artist Gavin de Lint available for purchase, and head brewer Michael Gaetz will be handing out free hot chocolate to those waiting in line.

Bushwakker Blackberry Mead will be available to purchase in a limited run of 650 ml bottles that are expected to sell out within a few hours of going on sale. It will also be on tap at the brewpub through to the holiday season.
