CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – CBC News reports that PEI Brewing Company will soon be opening a new retail store and small brewery inside a local grocery store under its Gahan brand.
The new Gahan Beer Store is currently in the final days of construction in the Atlantic Superstore at 465 University Ave. in Charlottetown, with Kevin Murphy of parent company Murphy Hospitality Group telling CBC that it may be open and selling beer as soon as this Wednesday December 6th.
The application for a license to operate an on-site brewery is still pending with the PEI Liquor Control Commission, but once approved, it will allow store-exclusive beers to be offered alongside those brewed at the main PEI Brewing facility on Kensington Road.
