Founders Brewing Canadian Breakfast Stout Coming to Ontario

TORONTO, ON – Liquid Art & Supply, a beer import agency affiliated with Collective Arts Brewing, has announced that it is bringing one of the most coveted limited edition beers from Michigan’s Founders Brewing into Canada for the first time – and very fittingly so, given the beer’s name.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (11.7% abv) is one of the six beers in Founders’ Barrel-Aged Series, and it hasn’t been available in bottles since 2011. It’s described as follows:

Canadian Breakfast Stout was born when we stumbled upon some bourbon barrels that had previously housed maple syrup. We opted to put the same base beer as Kentucky Breakfast Stout, an imperialized version of Breakfast Stout, in the maple barrels and, after one taste, we knew we had something special. Rich maple syrup, roasted coffee and velvety chocolate meld together in what can only be described as a transcendental drinking experience.

Commonly known as CBS, the powerful ale will be released in Ontario at select LCBO stores in Ontario on Wednesday December 13th, with the arrival being marked by two special events in Toronto.

From 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on launch day, Founders CEO Mike Stevens will be at Summerhill LCBO for a meet and greet with customers. And starting at 6:00 PM that evening, CBS and several other Founders beers will be on tap at Bar Hop Brewco (137 Peter St.) while supplies last.
